Sturgis North & the Neskonlith Indian Band together will host the 2013 Sturgis North Annual All Make Motorcycle Jamboree and Music Festival.

Chief Judy Wilson says that the inaugural event was well supported and attended, and for 2013 Sturgis North will be returning to the Shuswap area to support local businesses and provide locals with additional business opportunities.

Newly appointed Sturgis North President “Joan Hansen” say’s this new partnership will bring many positive changes for the 2013 event which will see the event held in August next year and in a new Shuswap location to be announced in a few weeks at which time exact dates and ticket sales will be available online.

Moving forward means that there will be focus on obligations to Creditors to be met. As well, event organizers will work with local authorities on improving overall organization, infrastructure & communication amongst local officials & equally important, the riders from the local areas to bring a safe and successful festival to the Shuswap area.

Sturgis North President, Joan Hansen and Chief Judy Wilson are working hard on re-building the event which will include an advisory board to assure all motorcycle enthusiasts that they are being heard as well as insuring that all makes and models of motorcycles are being represented as well as all the different motorcycle enthusiasts groups being represented. They feel based on much feedback from the event that there is a demand for a Major Motorcycle event in Western Canada.

Joan and Chief Wilson see this as a long term partnership & will be carefully selecting the new Sturgis North Team for 2013 which will include both the Neskonlith and local Shuswap area people. The goal is to build an event where everyone is welcome, is exciting, entertaining, well priced, enjoyable and with careful planning and budgeting can annually bring in generous revenues to the Shuswap business communities and bring pride to the various surrounding communities.

With a proven track record on security and event crowd control management in 2011 & 2012, attested by local Law Enforcement this will once again be a safe and successful event for the area.

As well Sturgis North will work with the Neskonlith to help promote cultural awareness and promote job creation with the goal to annually build more permanent infrastructure & reducing cost of the festival for attendee’s by improving the site each year.
