THE Harley '48 - Cool Bobber/Cafe Racer Bike. Fun Ride

A refreshing member of the "Dark Custom" Harley-Davidson family - The Big Fat Tire '48 Sporty.

Hello Biker Friends,

Many of you know that for the past almost decade, I have been riding a 2004 HD bagger. Man, I love that Custom Heritage Classic. Spectacular bike for the long road rides. I have enjoyed thousands of miles on that Baby.

Now, when it comes to riding around town, the Bagger is a bit heavy and a bit much to handle. That's where the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight comes in. What a great neighborhood riding bike...

The new Sportster '48 is one cool looking machine. It's a bare bones bike which is a style I love. This bike is very narrow with a seat height of only 26 inches.

The bike weighs just 545 pounds so is easy to handle.  And, it rides like a rough softail...not a hardtail...but not a "softail" either. The 1200cc engine kicks ass with very nice rumble and acceleration.

The Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight is one of my favorite rides. Plus, nice to see that the Sportster brand is one of the lowest priced in the HD line up. Around $10,000 or less depending on the dealership.

Check out photos of the HD'48 that follow...big fat tires, solo seat and a peanut tank. Very cool lookin' bike.

The '48 is a mix of bobber, cafe racer and street fighter. From what I can tell, it is the perfect bike to ride around town on the weekends.

What I love most about this bike are the fat tires, peanut tank and the low-slung brawler look. Cool...really cool looker.

The Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight model XL1200X is one of the best garage custom motorcycles on the market. This bike has one of the best Harley engines - the Evolution motor. The FAT MT90 front tire is just plain cool. I highly recommend this machine.

Ride Safe Out There,

Motorcycle Marc
